Shoe - upper Workers
They are...
Producing People ...

The first people made the first shoes from bark, leaves and animal skins to protect their feet. The first type of handmade shoes known are sandals according to the researches. The oldest discovery regarding shoes  is from BC. 8000 years. Egyptians are considered to be the most creative society about shoes. Egyptians, take moulds of their feet in soaked sand and made sandals by tying ropes to the sole from the raw leather they shaped in these moulds in the BC. 3500s.

Shoe making was considered a status indicator in ancient times. It is still produced with hand work, despite factoryization, in the workshops around Büyüksaat in Adana. Artificial or real leather is cut, after various processes and machines are passed, the last base is mounted and ready to be used. I tried to photograph and explain the process from the beginning to the last stage.
