Born in Istanbul (1979). Studied Photography at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University (1999-2004). Completed Master's Degree with a thesis headed "Visual Interaction in Between Photography and Cinematography" (2004-2007). Started to work as a researcher for MSFAU (2005). Completed PhD headed "On narrative Photography and Contemporary Art"(2007-2013) Worked as a photographer and photography editor
for several magazine and still lives and works as photographer and academician in Istanbul.

It’s not important to reach the destination, most important thing is the road itself. It's not about the destination, it's about journey. Because what you see or what you experience on the road, is the life itself.

And sometimes it's the journey that teaches you a lot about your destination. So we have to focus on the journey, not the destination: “One's destination is never a place but rather a new way of looking at things.”*

Joy is found not in finishing an activity but in doing it. It’s better to see something once than to hear about it a thousand times: “Because in the end, you won’t remember the time you spent working in the office or mowing your lawn. Climb that goddamn mountain.”**​
