Old City

In this collection the photos portray the past civilization which are perpetuated from that time till now, in one of the cities of Kabul - Afghanistan by the name of old city.

Kabul is a city which is said to be over 3500 years old and since then it went through a lot of things and changed in many different ways but as one of its part old city hardly changed through history and even now you can find traces of long time back in it and its culture and it is all because of its people who never let anything change their culture, tradition transferred it from generation to generation.

the photographer goal is to Portray the culture of this city as they people do their jobs and works which they do the same as their great grandparents did and it transferred from generation to generation till now which are including tin making, carpentry, architecture, pastry; they do these all works which had been done by their father and grandfather and may bel pursue in the future by their children and grandchildren. This part of Kabul was well known and it is; for all these works and we can say it’ll be known of these things.

The interesting part is that the city is the same as it was before and you can find the traces of that period culture as muddy houses from long time back and the simplicity of their works as before. The modern live and changes didn’t affect neither their lifestyle nor the way they work. They people as they are doing their jobs, muddy and old houses are the features of these photos.
