Silkworm breeding in our country has a history of 1500 years. It is generally an auxiliary agricultural branch. Silkworm breeding can be done wherever the mulberry tree grows. Everyone in the family from olds to youngs work together. I enjoyed photographing Hasan Büyükaşık, who has been working in silk production for more than fifty years in the Gümüşgöze village of Hatay. It was a work in order to document the photograph of the miraculous transformation from cocoon to silk. Hasan learned sericulture at the age of 7, starting with an Armenian master. The photos I have taken are the stage of the silkworm cocoon turning into yarn.
