(The Nature of a Photographer)
Man has always tried to understand nature through history. Sometimes he got it right, sometimes wrong. Sometimes he needed superstitions, sometimes he saw science and facts. Man was very close and very far from nature. It is same now. Many people live physically in nature but far from it as a mind.
What i am trying to do as a photographer on the side of nature: watch its details while staying alone with it, try to understand what it tells... Because there is pretty much wrong information accepted by the majority of people. When you get rid of them and only stay with nature alone, then it tells you the real facts.
When today’s modern man who is nature’s enemy becomes smaller in front of nature, and nature shows its power it gives me a real pleasure. Thats why photographing fisherman running away from a tornado, a person shrinking in front of a big wave that stranded, a free tree that has not been pruned by people, an orangutan looking down at people in the zoo or a lighting bolt at the size of two towns is not just to take good photos for me; its a state of satisfaction.
When i look at the city, I see a tumor that ruthlessly destroys the natural texture of nature and makes the world body sick. My wish is that people live as part of nature as before. As a healty cell without spoiling.
